It was COLD when we teed off and warmed up a little at the end. Witch is one of the most interesting layouts in MB - definitely different. Some very long par 4's and 5's on the front nine with the back a little more reasonable. Course in acceptable condition, wall to wall over seed, roughs were long. Greens rolled good around 10. I will play here even if the conditions aren't as good because I like the layout so much. It is typically soft. Good and tough par 5's, a nice variety of 4's (especially like #9 and 18) This is my favorite of the Mystical courses.

Played The Witch on my first ever trip in Myrtle Beach way back in 1993 and always like that course since!

That tee shot on #9 is challenging. Left side of the fairway gets blocked out, right side of the fairway brings marsh into play and leaves a longer 2nd shot.
New trees in the swamp are making #9 tighter.
There is/was a bunker at the far end of the fairway, can't see it in the photo.
That is a good aiming point and good to get out near it.
The tree line on the left is deceiving, because there are more tress that we can see, so
it's common not to use enough club from the tee. About 230 from the white tee is good.

The Witch can be a ……… 1, 2 and 6 are very tough long par 4's. Three of the par 5's are very long. The par 3's are not difficult, though 17 with the severely sloped green can be a challenge. It's a fun and different layout - and in a beautiful setting, has a lot of alligators - and snakes! Driving range is nothing to write home about, but you can warm up there.
