Had played 9 holes there 3 years ago - so this was with fresh eyes. It's a nice country club layout, nothing awesome, but good to play every day. Not up to Surf, Dunes, or Wach Private  - on par with Grande Dunes Members course.

Conditions were very good as you would expect. Greens not over seeded ran about 9. Over seed in the fairways is very light - more for color, and they were dry and got some roll. Great practice facilities. I like that many of the fairways are framed by waste areas and it's all fairway between them. If you haven't played the course, it's worth it if you can get on and not pay too much. I would rate Reserve somewhere in the 2nd ten of courses in MB. Conditions and privacy help elevate the rating

I played The Reserve Litchfield once over 10 years ago.  I remember that look,
but I don't remember the holes.

Thanks for the photos + report.

Thanks @UGP once again!

Like @Art, played there only once about 10 years ago and really did appreciate my experience at The Reserve (did also played The Players on that same visit)!

Very nice pics of the Reserve Club, is this the one at St. James Plantation or down south in Pawley's.

Thanks UGP, the one at St. James is also a good one as all their courses there are.

When I replied, I was thinking The Reserve Litchfield.   UGP has confirmed that.

Oddly St James reused the name The Reserve on their newest course and Founders
Pawleys reused Founders at St James, which was The Gauntlet originally.

The St James courses were popular in MBGT when they could still be booked
on Package or Passport.

@artmbgolf

Art, I remember playing both Reserve courses with you (Litchfield & St. James). Like you I remember the style but not the individual holes. I recall that Reserve Litchfield was quite ordinary (no Wow! holes, no rough) and that Reserve St. James played firm/fast and had the usual Nicklaus bunkering in the middle of the fairway on some holes.
