After playing pretty much every course in MB over the years, I have decided that I definitely have a "type".

I prefer playing holes that don't have many houses visible and don't really see the other holes as much.  This is probably the reason that the front 9 of the Witch course was by far my favorite in MB.  It was like you were the only person on the course.

From my memory of the courses and notes I took, here is our lineup for this year (next week).

Are there any I am missing?

Day 1: Oyster Bay

Day 2: Rivers Edge

Day 3: Glen Dornoch

Day 4: Heritage Club (I know this SOUTH but I have to have my Fat Jacks Wings)

Day 5: Thistle (All 27)

You have a nice line up of courses, enjoy them all.  If you are asking for other courses with little or no housing, Wild Wing Avocet, The Wizard and Man of War come to mind.

Kings North - No houses, but you do see other holes.
World Tour            "                    "
MBN West             "                    "

Glen Dornoch
The Pearl

Isolated in the woods is kinda rare.

Glen Dornoch, the Pearl, Barefoot Fazio, and Barefoot Dye are the most isolated off the top of my head in terms of publicly accessible courses (although the Pearl definitely has plans to build houses/condos). King's North doesn't really have houses/condos but you see other holes a lot; TPC Myrtle Beach and Caledonia also only has some houses etc. on the outskirts. There are probably a couple of others but most courses run through houses and condos.

If you want to avoid a bunch of houses while playing south I'd swap Caledonia or True Blue for Heritage; Heritage is lined with houses on most holes.

I'd probably pick Barefoot Fazio  as the biggest "in the woods" feel of any public course.

I also much prefer being isolated rather than having a bunch of houses and condos around, although I don't mind seeing other golf holes. It's one of the reasons I really enjoy playing the Reserve, which is mainly back in the woods.

The Reserve Club looks really cool. The no rough is interesting and it looks a bit like True Blue with all the waste areas. I assume there is no way youre playing there unless its with a member?

@mw2023   I have not seen a way to book at The Reserve Club.

I wouldn't expect the Reserve to allow anyone to play without a member connection. They're part of McConnell Golf which generally doesn't even allow reciprocal play from other private clubs.
