Changes affecting 9 holes at River Oaks for housing development is on hold according to the Sun News today. This course will remain a 27 holes. For how long? Difficult to predict at this time.

There is so much home building going on at this time - maybe some developers are getting nervous feet on starting another big housing project.

The Fox + Otter 9's were renovated 7-8 years ago, but as far as I know the Bear 9
was not.
It sounds like they not ready to start or are waiting on some approval.

Got me, He ran or worked at the School that was associated with River Oaks. I looked at the website, he isnt listed anymore. The Golf School there is The Golf School of Myrtle Beach at River Oaks. So i am going on a limb and saying he isnt there anymore.
