Played here yesterday, course was deadly quiet and our POP was 3:45, CPO on the front side only which was a shock after another 2 days of heavy rain at times.
Course is always good to play, greens had been rolled and cut before we teed off, they rolled nice but on the slow side compared to last time we were there. Traps were not yet groomed and some still had standing water, again not a big deal as we rake and place under these conditions. On the green side of things 2 have been sprayed with what looked like a green fertilizer, this makes the green look muddy and they putted a lot faster. Tees have a nice over seed and fairways in spots are thin still so rolling the ball is required to have a decent lie. Cart paths need to be repaired and some areas have no ashphalt at all and you drive over screening and dirt. Even under these conditions we enjoy the layout and will go back. For the ones who want top notch conditions OB will disappoint you at this time I am sorry to say.
It appears that this will be the norm for OB.
Thanks for a good report.

Thanks for the update Lefty!!!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Oyster Bay have like "roller coaster" kind of conditions over the last couple of years!
Hope warmer weather will help fix a few things out!
Thanks for the report Gary!

Your so right on there Denis, Oyster Bay is up and down like an elevator in conditioning terms, sure wish they would toss in some $$ as they do at the Legends Resort courses.
Thanks for the report. We also love the layout and go back nearly every fall when we are down. I've never really played it in great condition over the 10-12 year period I have played it but it remains in the rotation.
