I played The Pearl (west/east) today with three New Yorkers. We had a good time. Beautiful day, warm, with a little wind. The faiways and tee-offs has been overseeded and the greens were painted. They had a good speed. Service at the pro-shop and the bag drop was very efficient. The parking lot was full. The tee time sheet was full and it was not possible to advance my tee time even if i was a single golfer. We started on time at 12h20. We finished at 4h20. So POP was very acceptable. Overall, the conditions were very good. I will replay The Pearl during March, this time north and east. As you know, 9 holes has been closed. I like the new configuration of the golf course.

That is a good pace for a full course.   Thanks!

@artmbgolf

Of course, this pace of play is excellent for March.

I would like to add that the West course is less interesting to play than the East course. On several holes, although picturesque, the fairways are inclined towards dangerous areas, such as lakes, swamps or towards the forest. This is the case for holes 1 (very narrow), 3 (lake on the left), 6 and 7 (fairways inclined to the right), 8 and 9 (narrow and inclined to the right and lake in front of the green on the 9th hole). If by misfortune your ball lands on the slope, because of the dormant grass you can be sure that it will end up in the hazard. My playing companions and I lost several balls on the west course. And also our motivation, because of the double bogeys we had as results on these holes.

Thanks for your report, I agree the west course is the least interesting, see you next week.  Funny how our shots hit towards trouble never stop and find water, a trap, or worse.  😉

I played at The Pearl today, meaning east and north. Plenty of sunshine and a warm weather. I prefer the east course to the west course. Overall, a very pleasant day for golf.
