Pine Lakes has history, but IMO it's not #11.

I agree.  I also don't think Tidewater should be at #4 or King's North at #9.

Caledonia should be #2 behind the Dunes Club; they're easily the two best publicly accessible courses in the area.

Grande Dunes Resort Course is very silly at #2 to me; it's a tremendously overpriced, above average golf course. I don't think I'd even have it top 15 and wouldn't consider playing it for the price they're charging now. It's just not anywhere near good enough for that.

Calling Pine Lakes better than ever is hilarious. It's much worse now than it was before they eliminated holes and butchered the bunkers.

Wondering what happened to Wachesaw Plantation, a nice layout with several good holes, also Long Bay, when in shape as tough a course as any listed.  Palmetto and Pine Hills at Myrtlewood make you wonder how many Pros who voted are from the courses owned by the Chinese.

I think Wach Plant was left out due to being private.   The Dunes books packages, so was included.

I agree the 21 FGI pros voting would give FGI courses an advantage.

If in better condition, Oyster Bay, Tigers Eye, Leopards Chase would have had a better chance to
be included.

@artmbgolf That's definitely why -- otherwise Wachesaw, the Surf Club, and the Reserve Club should all easily be top 10.

Grande Dunes Members would probably make the list as well, but it's definitely the weakest course among the privates.

@leftygar1 I actually like PineHills and it might make my top 25 of public options -- there are some solid holes out there. Palmetto, on the other hand, is really bland and kind of boring other than the hole on the waterway.

@uncgolf Hear you on Pine Hills, just not a course we enjoyed playing over the years.  Reserve Club is a good one as is De Bordeau.

Some on that list to me are off but that is my opinion. I mean Long Bay could be in there, Pine Lakes is kinda weird also.
