Played the Wizard today. Course is in very good shape. Despite recent rain the fairways were quite firm and got a decent amount of roll with no mud balls. Course was overseeded wall-to-wall, so fairways and roughs had thick turf coverage. Bent grass greens rolled true but were just medium speed, so uphill putts had to be hit firmly. Beverage cart made several passes, new cart paths were a pleasure, and the range was in great shape. Pace of play was very good the front (2:10) but sluggish the back nine (2:25). Be careful on some holes as there are hidden bunkers on the side of some of the fairways that can't be seen from the tee box.
Thanks for sharing Bob.

Good report on the Wizard Bob, IMO holes 16 to 18 are very tough finishing holes, maybe the best in MB.
Wizard coming home on 16 -18 is very good. But better than the closing 3 on Tidewater or Glen Dornoch? I respectfully dissent.
Thanks Bob crazy looking clubhouse makes the start of the round inspiring

I find the closing 3 at Wizard tougher than Tidewater, though 18 there is a bear. Wiz was in good shape when I last played it - don't like the tall stuff off the fairways.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
Thanks for the update, I really enjoyed playing the Wiz when i played there years ago.
