We played Lion's Paw today. Nice day with sun, temps around 70. It was windy throughout the round and made some holes pretty challenging. Course wasn't in too bad shape. Overseed on tees and fairways is generally pretty good. Greens were quick. Some bunkers had water collected in them, and a few had some washed out spots. Our round was about 3 1/2 hours. We caught up with some slower groups late on our second nine. The pro shop gave my guest the same passport rate as I had. We would probably play here again because the course is interesting to play and course conditions weren't as bad as I thought they would be based on earlier reports. The shocker was the lack of merchandise in the pro shop. They used to have a nice selection but now there is not much to choose from.

When we played LP in Oct, it had been a dry spell and they were not watering
the fairways.   With the overseed they were forced to water fairways.

Thanks!

It sounds good to me concerning the improved conditions. Thanks for this quick update of Lions Paw.

For the lack of merchandise in the pro shop, i am not surprised. Today, many persons prefers to purchase their apparel and equipment on internet.

Good to read that the conditions at Lion's Paw were not bad, it is a good challenge for your game.  Thanks again for your report.

I have always thought that Lions Paw was the hardest of Panther run and Tigers Eye.

Thanks for the update, lets see how it does over the long haul. I am also sad to hear about lack in proshop, yes people love internet shopping but when i go the course i want a shirt there not on the internet. If i did that i wouldnt need to go the to course.

If you want to buy anything at Big Cats, the Tigers Eye pro shop has always
been their best pro shop by far.    When courses are not conditioned as expected,
especially at package rates, golfers are less likely to buy anything in the pro shop.

Your report (thanks for sharing by the way) makes me hope the Cats will make things turn around on the positive side!
