We were not planning to play Sunday. But it was sunny and warm, so we booked a time at Lion’s Paw. Nice coverage of overseed in the fairways and tee boxes. Most of the greens were very good. No. 16 had a significant rough area, and I believe No. 8 green had a rough area. Other than that, the greens were good and quick.
Very good value for the price, and I like the layout. POP was a little under 3.5 hours. We caught another twosome on the front, but I think they were playing nine. Never saw another soul after that.
Tiger’s Eye had good drink specials, so we watched some of the KC-Baltimore game there.
Nice to read Lions Paw was decent for you Bob, it is a very good layout with an abundance of good holes, a couple of rough areas is no biggie, new management looks to be doing everything they can to get the Big Cat courses back, cannot wait to get back down.
My wife and I played Lions Paw the first day in opened. We played two holes and the designer came out and told us the course wasn’t ready. They refunded or green fees, gave us a rain check and closed the course for awhile. We played it many times after as it was the first Big Cats course. We are playing Tigers Eye and Panthers Run in late April.
