Wisconsinite here traveling to the Legends Golf Course in September. We have 4 rounds with our package and plan to play at Heathland, Moorland and Parkland at the resort. Would locals or past Legends visitors suggest Heritage Club or Oyster Bay as our 4th round, or would you suggest playing one of the resort courses twice? Or even would you suggest skipping one of the resort courses and play both Heritage and Oyster? We plan to play 36 holes during one of our days on our trip as well.

Play Heritage for your 4th round.  Most will consider it the best of Legends.
Oyster Bay is a good design, but not maintained as well as the other 4.

If you are staying at Legends, playing one of the resort courses twice saves
you the drive to Heritage, but you will be glad you played Heritage.

You will not get bored with the 3 resort courses, since each is a different
style, Parkland, Links, Dye.

If you want to guarantee a replay PM round at Legends, with time for lunch,
you could book it in advance, but you will pay the standard rate.
If you do that, you could book Kings North or Wild Wing and to get
more variety.     If you aren't sure about a replay, you will get a discount
on the replay, if you wait until that day to request it, but you risk the courses
being full doing that.  Legends is a busy place.   If you can't get a replay at
Legends, ask the pro shop to get you a replay elsewhere, like Wild Wing,
Burning Ridge, MBN, Arrowhead.

I think also that Heritage is the course to play, it is a great design. Mike Strantz has worked on this course. He is my favorite golf architect in the area.

As usual, Art's advice is spot on.

If you are going to drive down to play Heritage make is a 36 hole day and play Prestwick while you are down that way.

Would opt for Heritage without a doubt, even if Oyster Bay has an absolutely great layout!

That said, @rpseck77 suggestion deserves to be considered strongly!

Have a nice trip!

I have stayed at the Legends several times with no issues. I would surely play Heritage one of our favorites.

I have played Oyster Bay, Legends - Heathland and Heritage in the past 10 days.  While Oyster Bay is my favorite of all the Legends courses, condition wise it is in poor to fair shape.  Heathland is in excellent shape.  Heritage is in the best shape I have seen it in, since moving down here 2.5 years ago.  I highly recommend playing the 3 courses at the Legends plus Heritage.  If you want a 36 hole day do two of the courses at Legends in one day.  Heritage is about a 45 - 50 minute drive from the Legends complex and well worth the drive time.

I love Heritage, but my group black balled them after multiple 5+ hour rounds.
