International world tour/ heathland legends/true blue/pine lakes

Played these 4 in 4 some 2 weeks ago. Had good weather 70’s, only blip was 40 min rain delay on course at true blue. 

international world tour -  have played here number of times. Usually when someone in group has never played it as was the case this time. Yes it is overpriced because of the premise of it. As always it was in fantastic shape. It offers what has to be a top 3 if not the best practice area on Strand.  Since i last played it they did away with the whole ‘ambassador’ experience which I appreciated.  It was like having a ranger follow u around. Played in 4 1/2 hours which was fine. If this track wasn’t replicas of famous holes and just a regular course I think price would come down to in season price of $125 and it would be on my list to play more frequently. 

Legends heathland. Frequent play for our group. I think easiest of the 3 legends courses which I welcome. First time in recent years I can remember getting around in less than 5 hours. They have lots of members and it gets lots of play.  Another great practice area. Only draw back is that it is so spread out and they do not let u take carts away from bag drop. u do a lot of walking with your bag between range chipping area and massive putting green. For range they have CC operated ball dispensers so no need to check in at pro shop to get range balls. Course was in great shape and like the layout.  Pro shop staff indifferent. Snack shop and restaurant staff pleasant and attentive. 

True blue. I like this place. Sister to Caledonia. Definitely easier than Caledonia in my opinion. I like the waste areas on the sides of fairway which make fairways even wider for us high handicappers. Got around in 4 1/2 hours. We had 40 min storm delay on hole 4.  Interesting holes great conditions. Really small range and tiny practice green. Can be tough to get in range as Caledonia doesn’t have range and their players utilize this one. Golf staff was great.  Keep in mind in the restaurant u r on pawley’s island time down here which makes Myrtle beach seem like the hustle and bustle of manhattan 

Pine lakes  GREAT conditions  new greens and renovated bunkers WELL done.  Tree lined fairways like us northeasterners are accustomed to   Golf staff friendly   Restaurant & drink cart staff very accommodating  like everything just  about this place I have played half dozen times, only negative is no range   Does have 2 putting greens adjacent to #1 and #10     They double tee in season. so if coming down and this is on your itinerary I suggest playing couple days in to trip so have some swings under your belt first.
