There have been some rumors that the Developer that bought Farmstead MIGHT consider leaving the golf course as is and would help justify getting 600K and up homes if it was turned private. These are only rumors. However nothing has been done to the course other then all sprinkler heads have been removed and the grass has been cut
This is highly unlikely, unfortunately. The grass has not been cut since October for sure, it just appears that way because of weather and growing season ending. Sprinkler heads are just one item of value that has been removed from property.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
@undercover-golf-pro I have been out there several times during the construction process. Looks to be a fun track. Always was a good routing and piece of ground.

Was anything done with Farmstead's greens, like sod for other
Tifeagle greens courses?

@artmbgolf No the Greens are still intact. There has been mowers over there, also not necessarily on fairways or greens but along them. If you remember that there was 2 houses on the property one of them is now for sale and both have been unoccupied since fall. Only sign of anything being done is that there is a small stack of concrete drainage pipe on the most western edge of the property (5th tee) just off Hickman road
@artmbgolf I will find out tomorrow. Taking a two day golf trip with former superintendent of Farmstead.
