Planning to play a few times when down for our extended family beach week... staying in OIB, and have played all the courses in that area, I think. But it's been years and years since I've been to Carolina National. How are conditions? Rates seem low (really low).

I saw the post and replies from March... wondering if anyone has played since the summer started and the heat set in.

Thanks!

I'd like to bump this thread up and ask a second question about CN...I was there about 10 years ago and the cart paths were THE bumpiest I had ever seen .

Does anyone know if the paths were ever replaced ?

I live down the street (St James Plantation) from CN and the paths are worse than ever.  Our club owner Troon had considered buying CN during COVID.  Troon backed away from the deal due to poor conditioning.  Course is OK overall.  But you'll bleed from your kidneys because of the cart paths.   GDZ

Thanks GDZ

They were horrible 10 years ago. I can't imagine them enforcing a CPO rule

Troon tried to buy Oak Island to add to St. James too but I think the Oak Island ownership wasn't interested in selling.
