Anyone have a recent update on the conditions at the Big Cat courses.  Been awhile since we’ve played up there and last I heard courses weren’t in great shape.   Any info would be helpful. Ty. I

There aren't many reports from Big Cats, since golfers are staying away.

LC seems to get the better reports. Maybe they are protecting the new greens there.

Most of the Cats reviews this summer complained about over dry conditions which led some here to believe they don't water.

This hard rainfall from Deby recently may have helped in a big way for the remainder of 2024 especially if they can get one or two rains every week.

Fingers crossed as Art, Polekat and I and hope to play TE or LC in October

I played Tiger's Eye in either June or July and it was not very good. Easily the worst conditions of any course I played in the area.

It wasn't terrible, but the fairways were very patchy -- there were areas with almost no grass and then areas that hadn't been mowed and were almost rough in the middle of the fairway -- and the greens were kind of ragged.

Tigers Eye and Leopards Chase at the moment is in good shape with all the rain we had. Don't know about Lions Paw or Panthers run

Just played leopards Chase today. Course in very good conditions. The new greens were good, but had more grain than I expected.

Late June/early July is Transition Month - the Rye dies off and they aerify to spur the Bermuda to kick in. That's not too uncommon if the Rye dies out early.

@bnlongdriver In my experience the rye has generally been gone and the bermuda fully green by late May. It's hot, but as long as you avoid the courses that have been recently aerified, mid-summer has some of the best conditions of the year.

Regardless, rye/bermuda transition definitely wasn't the issue with Tiger's Eye.
