Hark, the 2013 Forum Outing Approaches

/, Miscellaneous, Travel/Hark, the 2013 Forum Outing Approaches

I can’t believe that it’s been almost 6 months since my last Blog posting.  It’ been a crazy six months however, so here’s a quick catch-up before I get to the good stuff!

This was the summer I turned 50.  Not sure if my body was complaining about things, however I have never had so many aches and pains.  I’ve been suffering all summer with a left hip flexor issue that seems to have finally corrected itself.  That injury has managed to keep me off of my bike, and from running.  It also doesn’t help with the golf swing, so hopefully it stays quiet for the next few weeks while we travel and play.

That was the bad side.  On the good side, work has been great, very, very busy, but great.  I went to Hawaii for the first time, and dove with sharks, seals, manta rays and turtles.  Lots and lots of turtles!  If anyone has not been to Hawaii, we spent the first week on the NCL Pride of America cruise ship that spends a week as a floating hotel that takes you to the various islands.  We also spent a week on Kauai, where I would go back to anytime!  While in Kauai I got a change to play the Kauai Lagoons course, and it was fantastic.  Right out on the ocean for a bunch of holes!  Add a couple of weekends of bluesfest, a couple of rib festivals, lots of work, I didn’t play as much golf as I would have liked.

The summer here was not the best, with lots of rain and cooler weather.  That being said, the fall has been fantastic, and I am heading to the course shortly!

So starting next Saturday, I will once again be posting details about the Forum Outing and Jeff and mine adventures on the way down.  Looking forward to seeing everyone once we get there!
