Just a quick recap for you guys. We were down 2/27-3/4. Played 3 rounds and then again the short course Aero Club on Friday.

All golf rounds booked thru Myrtle Beach Golf Authority (Brian)

Long Bay - I know we played this course long ago but I did not recall it. In the pro shop this guy was telling the young man behind the counter that he had heard the greens were bad and could he get a discount. The young man politely said that he did not make those decisions. The guy kinda huffs off, prick! Anyway it stuck in my mind and we get to the first green and its pretty much a mess. Now I'm worried. But the rest of the greens were fine. They do have a Poa Annua issue that they need to address soon. I only saw that affect one putt in our round. We were told there would be a beverage cart but there was not. In fact the starter that told us was rangering later and apologized. Pace of play was whatever we wanted it to be, no one in front of us all day long!

Barefoot Love - I think this place does a very good job managing a lot of people going off those 3 courses. Course was fine and greens had good pace. Pace of play was probably 4:15 which I will take on any round in Myrtle.

Crow Creek - I have no idea how we have played 31 years in Myrtle and never played this course. We really enjoyed this place. Again good greens with good pace. I never felt like I had to hit the ball hard on any green this week. There was a beverage cart but be advised that they are in NC and beverage carts cannot have booze, only wine and beer. But she was super nice about it. Great pace of play yet again!

Aero Club - There were 6 of us and we were welcome to play as a sixsome as long as we let others play thru. There was a man and lady about a hole behind us who stayed that way. There were two younger fellas behind them who they waved up but the guys just waved them off and played behind them. Its such a laid back and fun round of par 3's.

It was interesting that our group of 4 started each round with a double Tito's on the rocks (8) and one Gatorade. If I recall correctly that was $80 at Long Bay, $60 at Barefoot and $70 at Crow Creek. Interesting pricing.

Food - well we didn't exactly light up the food scene in Myrtle. We ate at Finn McCools two nights because it just so close and last year we had a bit of a service lag at Harry the Hats. I would have gone back to HtH's but I found that the food at Finn's seemed to be better that in past years. It does get crowded. I think a lot of folks from Apache campground go there. We also got pizza from Marco's. My fist time trying that. All I can say is that its probably a small step up from Domino's. That pizza place in the Kroger shopping strip is back open and called Coastal Pizza. I'd give that a try. I mentioned ordering from The Office but apparently is has a 3,5 rating on Google so that got nixed. Not sure if that rating is real or that place has gone down.

Club - We made one run to TDH for about 90 minutes (damn we are getting old). Nothing much has changed. Seems there is more of a South American presence than Eastern European. Prices for the VIP are the same as last year, I cannot comment on the value as I did not partake. The couch dance thing was $40 per song, I can't recall if that is up from last year or not. The odd thing was that when I returned to my seat a dancer (looked like a newbie to me) comes up and says they were running a dance special, 2 songs for $30. As I think back I have no idea if that was a table dance or couch dance. It certainly wasn't one of those "parade of dancers".

Till next year!

This is the 25th year for Crow Creek.   It's not a wow or scenic, but it's fun
that we can let out the driver.  The bent greens are a undulating challenge,
with winter until about June the best time to play them.

Thanks for your report!

Much appreciated report.  Thank you!

They opened a Marco's Pizza my place in Market Common (where the new Publix is).  It was possibly the worst pizza I've ever had.  Maybe they just had a bad pizza making night...The people inside were very friendly.

Two things I forgot for food. We had breakfast every morning at Hot Stacks. We also hit Bimini's. We got into Bimini's right at 5 and it filled right up after we got there. No issues with the food and the server was awesome.

And one thing I forgot about TDH, the bartenders were dudes, WTH?

Thanks for the report.  Ate at Finn McCool's last October and had an excellent cheeseburger.  Crow Creek is a fun, straight forward course.

Crow greens were awesome when I played it last

Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars

Thanks for reporting buddy. Did you stay at one of the Kingston Resorts?

I like that area.

Biminis seems packed nightly from 6pm to 8 pm, but can still get a table pretty quickly. Good value there but loud atmosphere not for everyone.

Male bartenders at a GC is illegal, right ? You shoulda called 911.

Thanks again.

@jw11 We stay in a house in Guest Cottages. It's just off Maison near Shore Drive.

Ok ..just  south of Apache Pier.

We been staying just north. About a half mile from Arcadian Shores GC.

It's a great central location. Super easy to get to 22 and 31
