To sum it up we have had a lot of rain this March and most courses are just coming off CPO.

Meadowlands 3/12   Finally off paths ,good overseed , tees good and greens dormant and painted and mostly smooth. not too many mud balls and did get some runout on shots except in front of the greens

Pearl  3/14  The first day they were off paths. Played West Nine(which is the old West back nine) and then the East Nine which is the old East 1,2,12,13,14,15,16,17,18.  FYI the North nine is the old West front nine.  Tees were shaggy and a mix of grasses, greens were painted and rolled very smooth, fairways were from fair to good in the overseed depending on the location on the course. Sand traps also were sporadic on conditions some needed sand and some were fine ( will love when we can have rakes again) . Now that they are a bit drier some maintenance can be done. we encountered mud balls through out the day.

Both courses the greens were medium speed as they are not cutting only rolling them and with the moisture not as fast as usual

It is very kind of your part to post your trip report for those golf courses. With all the rain in March, it is fun to drive finally in the fairways. Thanks for sharing your experience during these two days.

I would be curious to know how many courses have painted their greens. It seems to be a trend since some years. It is a way to reduce the maintenance budget of the golf courses during the winter. Many golfers prefers to play on painted greens instead on brown greens. The look is lot better.

I feel the West/East that you played are the 2 best 9's at Pearl, because they
include all of the marsh holes.

Thanks!

Meadowlands has really improved their course with the new cart paths and alterations on a couple of holes.  It sits pretty low and stays wet, so I was glad to hear you were off the paths.   Have not played the Pearl since they closed a nine, but the last time I did play there it was not in the best of shape.  Thanks for the report.

Thanks for your report on ML and Pearl, really want to play the new layouts to see how it is, never liked hole #6 on the East course.

Forgot to mention on the Pearl that the Cart paths are horrendous and thought I would lose a tooth filling somewhere along the day. Many roots ,uplifts and potholes

@ziggygolfer

A downside of riding the cart paths when CPO, your innards take a beating.  Still better then shoveling snow IMO.
