Been doing some work over in the UK and decided to make the run to St Andrews and throw my name into the singles hat at the Old Course. Beautiful day today and it paid off. Teed off at 1:50 and played in 4:05. Got a touch of rain and lots of wind (which made it even better). Course is in great shape. Hit the fairway on 1, then put the second in the burn. Played with 3 university guys who all bombed the ball pretty well, including hammering the ball from the back tees over the sheds on 17.
Given that it was my first round since June, I was happy with the 88 on the card today.

And I'd still manage to somehow hit a house off of #1! ????

Thanks for sharing Dave, good pics as well.
Also a good job cleaning out the various conversion comments at the top of the forum.
Thanks!

I played there back in 1986 for 20 pounds while stationed in the UK with the US Air Force.....What are they getting now? Great standing on the first.....literally, the first tee!!
