Aberdeen has minor flooding at this time as we continue to get lots of rain after the hurricane
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
A small section of Garden City was hit with an EF0 tornado and damaged some homes. OIB had some house fires. Little River and Cherry Grove seemed to take the brunt of things unless you were further north into Oak Island, Wilmington, etc.
In my area (Market Common) it looked like nothing happened. Our pool was closed for a few days because of tree limbs and some minor cleanup. We'll take that. I hope everyone who's local or in the area made it out OK.
I have a place in Garden City. Some houses in the lower lying areas got flooded if they were not elevated. South of the pier a tornado hit and did some damage to a few homes. Some beach erosion. Luckily the storm moved fast and the wind shifted or it could have been much worse as the storm surge was high and hit on high tide with a full moon. Not even near as bad as Matthew was .
Thanks for all the local scoops about the storm.
Looks like Cherry Grove got it the worst.
That flooding near Duffy Street and Rt 9 was from storm surge, I'm assuming.
That intersection is about 1/ 4 to 1/2 mile from the beach too.
Thanks again.

Ocean Isle and up to Oak Island got it the worst I would say. On the SC side, Cherry Grove/Little River got it the worst.
