I was talking to my brother & cousin other day, we are seriously jonesing to play golf, the Masters really got the juices going, so I called my buddy Peter in Longs, he will be away next week & said we can stay at his place, so we will be taking off on Saturday morning for a week of last minute tee times, Peter will try to set us up with a couple of rounds with his group of locals too. I'll report in on courses as we play them.
Don't play Long Bay as they lost their greens
Did you hear of any cause of the green problems at Long Bay?

@artmbgolf they didn’t overseed the greens this winter. They’re dormant Bermuda. They were having issues with poa annua the last couple of years so they decided to try and get rid of it. Well 4 different treatments later the poa is still there. I think that once the temperature warms up they’ll come back pretty quickly. But it’s really hard to see their greens looking like they do.
@ziggygolfer thanks, we were going to try to play there since its near the house.
What the name of the course farther west on rt 9 ?
That is far enough away from the beach and near (or in) Longs.. So might be able to get last minutes tee times there,
Nice course. Tight layout but if you don't spray its great.

Crown Park is there too.
I live close to Long Bay - played it a couple ties this winter - greens were not good but still enjoyed the round. Aberdeen was in better shape. Heard some good things about Crown Park from the pro Where are you staying@ziggygolfer thanks, we were going to try to play there since its near the house.
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
@undercover-golf-pro My buddy lives in the housing community across the 9 from Colonial Charters entrance. Been staying at his place whenever I go to MB since he moved there.
Played Pearl recently, very good conditions and the East 9 has had the bunkers redone. Sandpiper has also been in good shape as has Crow Creek and Thistle. Last of the school breaks I believe this week so tee times could open up a bit. Good luck and look forward to your reports.
Thanks for the heads up guys......my friend Peter is going to Rivers Edge today, he's going to let me know what shape course is in, we want to get this played on this trip. Peter is gonna book a round for Sunday before he leaves, not sure where yet.

That area is Golf Heaven. Good to hear those 4 properties are in great shape. Hopefully The 4 Cats courses follow suit one of these years
