Asheville NC is about 300 miles west of Myrtle, but I'm hearing horrible stories .

Other smaller towns along that path also getting wiped out.

I never thought about a high altitude city like Asheville getting flooded !

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people in those areas.

JW!!

Be advised that I-40 between Asheville and Knoxville is closed and not projected to reopen till September 2025. I-26 north of Asheville is closed and not projected to reopen until March 2025.

Amazing Kio, thanks.

Do you think it's more road destruction or debris falling from mountains and mud slides ?

I'm in Myrtle now and a lot of businesses are asking customers to donate their change to help

I'm sure there were a lot of mud, rocks/boulders and trees on both. I saw at least one video of I-40 with two lanes washed away.
