I have done some research this morning concerning the original nine holes at Debordieu.
Acccording to Tom Doak, in GEA, there was a reversible nine old course at DeBordieu prior to the present course. But he has never saw it; https://www.golfclubatlas.com/forum/index.php/topic,58998.msg1393606.html#msg1393606 .
Another source mentionned that the site was developped in 1969 into a nine hole golf course. When the site changed ownership in 1984 the existing golf course was elevated (infiltration problems) and the new nine holes were placed on elevated ground.
Debordieu was developped in 1969 by a business man Wallace F. Pate Sr. I would not be surprise that he was behind this idea to build a golf course at Debordieu. But i would be surprise that he built himself the original nine holes.

S***H ... great research. Many thanks!
Now if I can only get confirmation on the opening dates for Georgetown Country club and Winyah Bay. The former was possibly built before 1900 and stayed open at least until the 1980s as a nine hole track. Winyah opened as a 9 holer in the 1950s I belive but I get conflicting results.
For Winyah Bay, in Georgetown, it seems that the original nine opened in 1955 and is the fifth oldest golf course on the Grand Strand: https://www.golfcourseranking.com/courses/south-carolina/georgetown/usa/winyah-bay-golf-club,-closed-2005/16910/. This course closed in 2005.
For the Georgetown Golf and Country Club, i have not found the information yet. Stay tuned ???? ????

None of the above!

Amen brother! Maybe Neil's riding his BMW motorcycle to a Pete Dye course in the sky! Or maybe Pete Dye was listening to "Working Man" while designing another bulkhead. Who knows!
Would have love to vote, but among the three choices offered, did only play Barefoot Dye, wich I would prefer if it was compared with Legends Moorland or Prestwick (but really not by much)!

Was wondering if anyone would know who Neil Peart was PK.
