So you are in the MB area but because of planning issues only have time to play 9 holes. Which course and which 9 on that course would you choose? For me personally, I have played around 80 of the courses in the MB area but always go back to the front 9 of The Witch. It is something that no other course can match, IMO, with the scenery and seclusion.
Probably the back nine at Oyster Bay. Lots of gator sightings and nice layout.

For me hands down the front nine at The Witch! I agree with rspeck77's assessment. I think the front nine at The Witch is the most excellent (and coolest) nine holes in the MB area.
I didnt think about that because i didnt drive that far to play only nine holes lol. I would say Prestwick either 9.

At most MB courses, you can get a 9 hole rate in the PM, booked on the
day of play. If the tee sheet is empty, they may do it in the AM.
I think a lot of courses don't like the idea of playing early
before tee times start, because it gets in the way of maint.
Wild Wing Humm 9 has tee times for 9 holes with a 9 hole rate.

Interesting topic. Of the courses I've played, probably the back 9 of either Tidewater or Rivers Edge. That's a toss up for me.
I like the suggestion of Arrowhead since it has three 9's.
I'm going with the front 9 of the Witch as well.
I would go for the back nine at Myrtlewood Palmetto. Very scenic.
