Played here today. Number 10 was only hole that was CPO. Thought that there were a couple of the other holes that very easily could have been CPO. On front nine a couple of the greens were very thin but they were OK to putt on. Back nine greens were all very nice shape. Played in a little less than 4 hours and that was our foursome playing behind a five some on the back. Forgot to mention driving on the cart paths were like driving down the highway. They’re in great shape.
Pretty underrated course. I like it.
WP has a lot of interesting holes, especially the par 5's.

Not a big fan of Whispering Pines layout - however, they have worked hard to get it in pretty good shape. Lot's of local play on WP

The local lore is that the military assigned to the air station actually built the course. I don' t think that a Fazio or Dye was part of the crew. I've always enjoyed the course. Back in the day finding it was a real trick, but the road renovation in the area made that a non issue.
Thanks for the update!!!!

WP is a course that is slowly improving, not for everyone as it has a few oddly shaped greens, overall worth the price in the winter time.
Appreciate the report!
