I am looking at the tee sheet for Panther's Run.  It is wide open, which probably means the greens are still pretty bad.  Has anyone been there to verify that?

We played Panthers Run several times over the winter, greens always had decent speed, but in spots it looked poor to bare but being worked on, last time I played it was early April.  The layout is nice, back nine a bit tighter but nothing to bad unless you really spray the ball.  Fairways again not to bad with a few bareish spots, tees could use some TLC esp. on the Par 3's.  It was a good value course over the time we were there as was all the Cat Courses.  Good luck and will enjoy reading your report.

Some of my family played Tiger's Eye a few days ago and said it was pretty bad with really slow and bumpy greens. None of them play regularly and they're used to playing lower end courses, so it didn't really bother them, but that was the report.

Obviously that's a different course, but I assume Lion's Paw/Panther's Run/Tiger's Eye are all roughly similar now.

Thanks for the info.  I was worried about that.  I had hoped the Big Cats courses would have recovered after aerification in early June.  Of course, this hot weather is not conducive to fast greens.  Usually, Tiger's Eye is in the best shape AFTER Leopards Chase, which was recently aerified.

Big Cats have had conditions issues for 6-8 years now.

It seems like they are improving with decent reports when the
weather is perfect for growing grass, but when difficult weather
arrives, they are not treated enough to be as good as we would like.

Leopards Chase has been getting the best reports since they got new
greens a couple years ago.   It appears that they are working harder
at LC, while the greens are still good.

They got it back to where it needed to be in late 2023 through March 2025. They simply lost their overseed due to the very dry conditions, almost 6 weeks with no real rain Feb/March. Conditions beach wide have been challenging for the majority of the courses since the overseed was sprayed or died out. (I know of about 15-20 that struggled but are coming around now) All courses have aerified and the winter rye has been phased out, now it's all bermuda all the time. When it's hot like this you can all but watch it grow, most all courses should all be rececvered and in good shape now.

I need an updated report on both Panthers and Tiger.  Scheduled both for fall trip based on better winter conditions  Has anyone actually played either course in last 6 weeks or so?  Not trying to be demanding here but I can still change course if I have to.  Would prefer to stay with both, but.......

Thanks for any info
