Played Prestwick today. Greens are excellent. Fairways were not in good shape as the winter Rye is dying off in the heat. I expect by the end of June the fairways will be very good again once the Bermuda has a chance to spread. Tee boxes were freshly topdressed so had to be careful on a few holes not to let the feet slip. Beverage cart girl has to be the prettiest on the Grand Strand.

Golf courses in transition always look bad - this year maybe worse because of the drought. I expect the supers to start pouring water soon - no rain in sight!

During my MB trip, only Prestwick looked like they stopped watering the fairways.

1putt1,

Did you get a picture of this beauty ?

If not, we need one  from anyone that golfs there this week.

..............

UGP....Won't stop raing here in Northern Illinois.

I have a lake in the cornfield in my backyard.

That hasn't happened in 20 years I've been here.

I can't believe some of this rain isn't coming your way.

Thanks for your report on a very solid course Bob, Prestwick will give anyone a certain Wow! factor, winter conditions were good for the $$ they asked for.

Played prestwick 2 days ago, agree with this review. Greens are as good as they get in myrtle beach, but the rest of the course is suffering with this drought
