On an absolutely beautiful afternoon, we played a great golf course. Not an issue playing the ball down, fairways really good, roughs were easy, and the greens reportedly rolled at 10, though personally I thought they were a little slower than that. Ball rolled pretty smoothly, though not smoothly like Surf.
While not in my top 5, GD is an excellent tier 1 facility. Great people at the bag drop and pro shop, it is first class from the top down.

Never had anything but a great time there.
Few years back, it was out 12th & last round of the trip. I had the lead in the birdie race for the week by 2 over Lee. (14 I think going in? after 11.5 rounds)
Anyway, on 18, he needs birdie to tie for the week, & I knew I was in trouble when as soon as he hit his approach shot into 18, he yells out "Hunt!!" He stakes it about 5' away & makes the putt for the tie in the birdie race.
....won't let me have nuthin nice.

Unlike recently, I played well and putted well without making anything. 2 birdies but missed 6 more inside 15 feet - some misses were hit well and misread and some were hit so bad I had to wonder if I just hit my putter or driver!
