That is a good review of his courses.

Besides Cal + TB, I have played his 2 courses in Williamsburg VA, SH, RNK.

I have had the pleasure of playing all of his public courses.  He is by far my favorite golf course architect.  I live close to Cal & TB and play them several times a year.

Interesting read, thanks. I've often said I have to play Tobacco Road on the way to MB but usually fly down on guys' trips and the better half doesn't play so we keep driving by...

Have played both True Blue and Caledonia, solid courses from tee to green, never disappointing for our group.  Thanks for posting.

I do love his course designs, never had a bad day at Caledonia and TB. I do need to play his other designs, which i hope to do sooner then later.

I enjoy how different Caledonia and True Blue are

I remember playing True Blue a year or so after it had opened after playing Caledonia in the morning.  Both courses were awesome and very different.  TB used to be advertized as "Golf's Heaven or Hell" I believe.  Correct me if I am wrong, but I think it was on the clothing and pin flags.

TB did have Golf H or Hell on something, either towels or a tee shirt.  I don't think the pins.

After a couple years, they softened a few holes, #3, 8, 9, 10, but not a lot, just more fair.
