Only 2 Canadian courses? I've played St. Andrews Old, 99 more to go.
It's difficult to comment or criticize, without playing or
knowing courses from TV. There are some really
unique holes and courses in the list. Cape Kidnappers has
a bunch of holes on cliffs.
I played 1 course in that list, Bethpage Black, just before
9/11, when it was getting ready for the 2002 US Open.

No way for us mere mortals to know. Lots of politics involved. I have played about 10 of the courses -hard to believe any course is better than Riviera or Southern Hills
Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
Casa De Campo (Teeth of the Dog) is the only one I have played. Hard to imagine 74 courses are better, although I though Punta Espada in the same country (Dominican Republic) was actually better.
Will likely never play any of them! One can dream!
