Tiger’s Eye is a great course.  I played it for the first time a few years back during the forum outing, and once again, it did not disappoint.  Today I played with Jeff C, Mike S and Steve.  It was a very enjoyable round of golf and the best of my week so far, shooting 40-41 with no doubles, and lots of opportunity to score much lower.  I was hitting almost all of my clubs well with the exception of the 3-wood which I took out on 18 after being in a timeout since the round at the Fazio Course.  After I duffed that shot, it is now in the bag until I can figure out how to hit it again.

Everyone in the group had some great shots, with Mike making birdie on a good long putt, Steve knocking one off of the flagstick and Jeff sinking a long putt for birdie as he headed to the beverage cart.  We then spotted a big gator just to the right of the 17th cart path, and got a picture of Jeff with it!  Brian joined back up with the group today, and he shot a 72 using an old wedge that I gave him.

Unfortunately Jeff struggled a bit on the front nine, and I was able to take this round, however he is still leading with 5-4-1 with one round left to play tomorrow at Arcadian Shores.

After the round, 16 of us headed over to Leopard’s Chase for a 9 hole scramble which was won by the team of Yank, Rich, Larry and myself at –4.  Larry hit some amazing shots which allowed Rich and Yank to try and bomb it.  The long drives were not the reason we won, it was with the flat stick, sinking two long putts on the first two Par 3s.  We managed to all miss an eight footer on a par 4, so everything evens out I suppose.

Tomorrow is my last round with this years forum outing.  Look for Bob’s pictures in the gallery, as well as trip reports, including Cape Fear, in the regular forum discussions.
