Had an opportunity to play this lovely Stanley Thompson golf course, very good conditions all around. Lots of elevation changes and many holes cut out of the woods, many Kodak moments. It is a resort course the Public can play, if you are ever in the area I would say give it a shot. Downside it has no range just a large net set up next the 1st hole. Busy in July and August, play slows down in Sept. until closing date in Oct. non members have to wait until 11am to play. Stanley Thompson was the designer for Oakdale which just help the Canadian Open.
Thanks for your report LeftyGar! It was very appreciated.

Gary, we played it several years ago and really enjoyed it. That area has some good courses.
Your right many very good courses up there, some a bit to expensive, well for me, and others like Kerri Glen and Muskoka Highlands are priced perfectly and both courses will give you beautiful scenery and lots of elevation changes. As for Windermere I cannot wait to play it again in May through August next year, a few birdies are owed to me ????
