Played Arcadian CC on friday the 23th of January. Had a 1028 tee time and sent out to number 10 on time. Course full but pace of play was good, just over four hours. Fairways thin but I don't remember playing here with plush conditions. that being said the ball rolled  out well and enough cushion under ball for good contact, just wish I had more good contact! Greens roll true and received good shots. The only negative are the bunkers, most had little sand and some were hard packed dirt. Worth the green fees and would return to play. Men  at bag drop friendly and very welcoming. On a different topic, I have MB golf pass and it seems the people I play with have the Prime Time and Sea Trail card and always pay less. Looking for advice for future snow bird pass. Thanks

Thanks for the review of your round at Arcadian Shores on January 23rd—it sounds like a solid outing overall despite the typical winter conditions there. It's great to hear the pace was good and that the greens were rolling true with decent cushion on the fairways for contact.

Bunkers at Arcadian Shores are thin on sand or hard-packed in spots, particularly around the greens where they're deep and plentiful. It's not unusual for Myrtle Beach courses to have variable bunker maintenance depending on weather, play volume, and budget. Still, if the rest of the experience (friendly staff at bag drop, good value, true greens) holds up, it's definitely worth returning as you said.

As for the golf pass question—many snowbirds (seasonal visitors) run into this exact comparison. The Myrtle Beach Golf Passport (which you have) is a popular, affordable option with access to a wide number of courses (often 60–70+), but the per-round rates can be a bit higher on certain properties compared to more premium or "founders group" focused cards.Your friends' Prime Time card (from Prime Times Tee Times / Founders Group) and Sea Trail card (Myrtle Beach Golf Trail) often provide deeper discounts at a select group of higher-demand or affiliated courses (Prime Time covers about 21 popular ones, Sea Trail around 25+ including their own courses). These tend to offer better per-round pricing, earlier advance booking windows, or extras like events/specials, which is why they frequently come out cheaper—especially if you're playing the same core courses repeatedly. Prime Time, in particular, is frequently praised for the best "bang for the buck" on those in-demand tracks.
If you're playing a mix of courses but hitting the more popular/Founders-affiliated ones often, switching to Prime Time or Trail could save you money per round like your friends see. Otherwise, the Passport is still solid for variety and low upfront cost.Have you looked at the specific rates for courses you play most? That might help decide. Either way, glad you enjoyed Arcadian Shores—it's a reliable choice. Hope your next rounds are even better (and with softer bunkers)!

Small detail, for accuracy, Arcadian Shores is not a Country Club. I'm not exactly sure of the pricing for 'Snowbird' packages, but I had the Passport for a couple years, and you're correct, Prime Time pricing is better than Passport when comparing the same course. I also have the Myrtle Beach Golf Trail Card and its pricing also beats the Passport when comparing the same courses, at least the majority of them. Where the Passport may have an edge is that it offers many more courses to choose from. Prime time offers discounts on 21 courses and MB Golf Trail has 30 or so.

The trail card is:  https://myrtlebeachgolftrail.com/

I am thinking that the Passport Snow Bird card might be higher on purpose.

Based on reading what card holders posted above and in the past, the best card
will be the card that fits you the best.   If you are in MB long enough and
especially if living in MB and playing a lot, multiple cards could be worth it.

I have seen posts about a Legends card also, but it has only the 5 courses.

Yes, Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach offers a membership program that provides access to their five championship golf courses: Heathland, Moorland, Parkland, Oyster Bay Golf Links, and Heritage Club.

Thanks for the Winter update on a course I have yet to play. Hate when bunkes are like that but it is something I am used to at my home course. Glad the rest of the course was good, nothing better then good POP and bag drop. Look forward to hearing more of your stay.

Thanks for your report on Arcadian Shores, play it often when down.

On your discount cards, both Passport and the Golf trail are close in price, maybe 5 to 10 bucks, Prime Time gives you 21 courses, first time buyers will pay approx. $299.00, maybe more this year and they used to give you back a $50.00 Pro Shop voucher for their courses, not sure they still do.  An added plus is depending on the courses you play every 5th or 6th game is free, they work on a points system and the better course you play the more points you are rewarded.  If you are on a long stay and play often PT maybe the Card for you.  They do have a non points card for less and the course fees are the same as the higher priced card.
