Once again, UGP joins us to fill out our foursome, & has now attained honorary Larry status. UGP is a perfect fit with our group, & keeps things in perspective...just wish I could have showed him a little more game than what I did.

On to the course....GD staff, top to bottom, knows how to make you feel welcome...a great group of people.

Yet another course that if it had about a week or so of warm, dry, sunny weather would be in pplerfect shape. The best thing about today was GD never has cpo, so our legs got a break after multiple days of 36 holes with cpo. Course played very long wilittle to no runout on drives.

Only did 18 last 2 days due to afternoon rains.(& fatigue)

If things dry out & GD is on your roster, no worries.

Here's some shots of the faiways..

Honored to be your Larry - you guys are good for my game - though I didn't score particularly well on the last round at GD - cant believe they were mowing some of the fairways WET, SLOPPY, MUDDY - however, greens were excellent - and it was better playing GD than any other course in the MB (and probably all of the Carolinas) area

Thanks for your pics! This golf course is a must when you are in Myrtle Beach!

Golf is a game. We play it. Somewhere along the way we took the fun out of it and charged a premium to be punished.- - Ron Sirak

We play GD every year and are never disappointed with conditions.  Customer service is top-notch.  Thanks for the report.

@6542golf

Holes 3 & 4 were like this. The rest were wet, but no ruts.

Those ruts are from the fairway mowers.

Got just over an inch this afternoon right after finishing the round with a bunch more on the way tonight and tomorrow.

Wow, I've never seen GD like that. Are you certain those tracks weren't made by UGP's electric alien push cart?

Guys - GD drains well except for 3,4,and 5. There are some low areas and they mowed through them and made everything look even worse. Courses here are having trouble keeping up with their mowing schedules.

That is an honor to be named a Larry. People strive and always fall short of that honor.

You can send some rain up here, we had about 2 weeks of it then boom drought again.

My bucket list is to play with more great people from this forum and for my good friend Denis Gilbert to tee it up with my daughter in MB. She might give him a run for his money also.
