Not sure why, but ever since the changeover to the new MBGT site, no one seems to use the calendar to post their upcoming trips or rounds. I always thought it was a good way to see who's out playing at any given time or who might be in MB at the same time.
So, here's a request to see if we can get guys to start using the calendar again.
Thanks.
I think as fewer members post their trips on the calendar others may
decide not to do it. Without talk about it, newer members may not
have known about it.
I believe that when former admin Mike (Lndnwd) saw someone post their
lineup in a topic, he would add it to the calendar. He hasn't been around,
so that would be one reason fewer trips are on there.

I also used it in the past to check conditions for my up coming trips.

OK, so I have added our trip to the April Calendar. Our group of 24 have been trying to do our 10th Annual trip since April 2020 when this Covid nightmare started. Looking like we are headed to Myrtle Beach and this time next week we should have about 1/2 the group arriving for Friday night in Myrtle Beach. The other 1/2 to arrive on Saturday. Those arriving on Friday will have stopped over in Asheboro NC on Thursday and played Tot Hill Farm Friday morning. Very much looking forward to exploring the Little River and N Myrtle Beach area with a wide array of new eateries and pubs. Cheers.
Looking forward to you reviews Dobbs.
Yes a lot of new businesses have popped up North of Myrtle Beach.

Thanks @brewcrew for bringing this feature back into people's vision. I've made this a sticky so that it is up at the top.
We have a tutorial on how to do this if anyone is struggling - https://myrtlebeachgolftalk.com/adding-your-tee-times-to-the-calendar/

@chicagohack
MBGT was pretty active Jan-April, but has slowed down since.
Seems like we don't have a lot of summer groups now.
I have a feeling that we have member groups ending their trips,
due to shrinking interest, age, Covid, higher rates, etc.
Looks like more groups are stopping MBGT participation than joining us.
Since you are on a summer trip, that would be a good time to take
advantage of replay rates, when courses are less crowded. Of course
that is less variety.

@artmbgolf thats the interesting thing....the courses can command the higher rates because theyre packed. A lot of canadians have delayed their trips til summer and even aerifications arent keeping them away. Ive never had issues getting lodging until this year. We usually stay at the cr%phole Myrtlewood, but theyve been booked for months, so supply and demand is in full swing and it sucks for those of us who usually use the summer period to play in Myrtle for cheap. As our group continues to move to different parts of the country, we may just have to look at other places to play. Weve done the RTJ trail and Pebble, and have bandon on the plate for our 50th in two years, but if it wasnt for SW flying to Myrtle now, our group likely would have joined the many others that seem to have vanished.
I miss a good 90lbballs trip report or the redneck newsletter I forget the poster's name used to do. Those were classic!
