Heading over to Litchfield for 5 nights.  Playing at least 2 rounds thru the golf desk.  Virgin trip to the south end for me; played most of the courses up near OIB.  My son and I playing Caledonia on Tuesday (14 yo so is half price here) and heritage (he is free here!) on Friday.  If we play Wednesday, thinking.....river club maybe?
Course tee sheets were pretty wide open everywhere.  Looking forward hopefully to a fast round.  If courses are pretty empty does the split tees require any waiting at the turn?  I.e. if we play front in 1.5 hours, what if the group playing other 9 that teed off at the same time are a 4some and take 2 hours?  Thx!

I’ll post trip report.

I will enjoy to read about your golf trip. I wish you good golf there. A lot of very good golf clubs on your list.

If they're not too busy, some courses will not double tee.

Golf can best be defined as an endless series of tragedies obscured by the occasional miracle.

River Club is good, Willbrook is a little better.

As Skippy said, if few tee times are booked, the course might switch to a
single tee.  Empty tee sheets days ahead can fool you, because if the weather
is good, the tee times can fill up with 48 hour member and Passport players.

If a Double Tee runs from 730, and you tee off at 7:30 on #1,  you will
end up behind the 9-9:30 tee times on #10.    Those teeing off on #10 at 7:30
won't affect you.    When you see the starter, ask about the tee sheet. Then
you will know if they switched to a single tee or not.  Then you will know if you
can play fast or if you will be better off pacing yourself to 2 hours.

@artmbgolf. Thanks man.  You helped me book a myrtle trip 15 years ago when this forum was on a different platform (I had to re-register here).  Glad to see you are still offering your sage advice.  Thanks.

Welcome back to MBGT.

FYI, Brian left Golfdesk a number of years ago.
His new contact is at the top of the forum.

You will like Willbrook, more scenic than River Club.
Caledonia + Heritage are top picks.

@artmbgolf. Oh, I didn’t know about Brian.  I assumed he was still there.  I did get great service from a guy over there though.  I’ll need to look Brian up next time I book a trip.

The Friday after Thanksgiving was always one of the busiest days of the year at my course if the weather was good. Enjoy your trip - looks like good weather.
