Firm greens are mostly the norm in MB, unless it has rained a lot.
Thin/dormant rough is mostly normal in the spring.
Thanks for reporting.

PoP 5.5? Very sad.
Day 3 - Long Bay
overall service was very good. Tee, and fairways were tight and the ground very firm.
Typical Nicholas design, lots of bunkers and tough greens to putt.
POP was 4 hours.
Bunkers were a mess with no rakes.
Dinner at Clarke’s was excellent as usual.
On to Farmstead!
35 military in front of us. And, they don’t play much golf.
Day 4 - Farmstead
Best course conditions so far
Driving range great.
Tee boxes and fairways a 10
Greens a 9.5 a little slow to our liking. Lots of grass.
Plush is the word to describe the course.
POP was 3.75.
And, they were very busy.
On to Tigers Eye, which I am sure everyone will be interested in the conditions at the Big Cats.
Thanks for the updates!
Let the Big Dawg Bark!!!
Day 5 and 6
Day 5 - Tigers Eye
Change of plans. Upon arrival we were told that Tigers Eye was being aireated!
They moved us to Leopards Chase.
Excellent conditions! Tees great.
‘Fairways excellent.
Greens excellent, rolling about 8.5 with lots of grass!
POP 3.45 we were the only group on the golf course. Monday’s are always slow according to the starter.
Overall a wonderful experience.
‘’Day 6 - Barefoot Norman
Another day of excellent conditions and service.
Bag drop was very busy but we got out on time and the conditions were very good.
Tees, fairways and greens were great. Best greens of the trip. Very hard to read and not fast, probably about 8 on the meter.
Our group rated this the best course we played.
The trip is over and we are already looking forward to next year.
On to Florida tomorrow morning and back to our private club.
We enjoyed the week and the weather was wonderful, not too hot and no rain.
We will be back in July.
Great to hear about Leopards Chase!
I played Barefoot-Norman for the first time a little while ago and I agree about reading the greens. They are subtle and gave our group fits.
Thanks @w082828 for all your reports!
Safe travels

Wow... I'm shocked , but happy, to hear a tough reviewer saying Leopards Chase is in EXCELLENT condition.
LP has a real good layout.
If anyone wanted to play it, I'd say play it now.
Thanks for all your reports W

"King Of The Mid-tiers"
We had a great trip this year with the weather cooperating, except for the wind. The upper tier courses were in excellent shape in all areas. Our on;y negative was the conditions of the cart paths on the first 3 courses we played. Many of the older courses are showing their age in regards to the paths as the trees are impacting g the paths.
We will be back again!
@jw11. I am generally not a tough reviewer. But, I am a member at a private club in Florida, and we are used to excellent conditions at our course. If we are paying premiums to play in Myrtle Beach, we should expect premium conditions.
Thanks for sharing all your reports really enjoyed each read. Nice to hear about LC. Was sure looking forward to your report on TE.
