Once again, we are joined by UGP as we tackle Rivers Edge. Very busy in the morning, but things moved smoothly.

Some tees a little rough, rough a little deeper than elsewhere, & the tightest fairway lies we've seen all week, very little grass under the ball. Still a little wet & soft from last weeks rain. You better be hitting your irons crisply or you're in for a long day.

Greens rolled well  mostly, just a tad slower than I like, but very playable.

Very mediocre play in the am,  but always a pleasure to play with UGP.

Don't know what happened between rounds, other than we moved up to the super senior green tees, but everyone played better in the afternoon. I had 3 birdies on the fron 9 & shot 37, after struggling to just play bogey golf a week.

Sadly, the rain got steadier & heavier & we called it a day after 15, where I was 5 over for the day.

So Rivers Edge is in good shape, but thin lies on soft fairways is what you'll get right now.

Maybe they shaved the fairways for overseeding as some courses do.

Thanks for another report.

Sure - Once you weren't my partner you played well - should have played from the greens all day. RE is in my top 5 courses - to me, RE is something very special - especially since I tend to score well there - it fits my game.

Only a couple of pics as I had to focus with Skip as my partner

Although I have not played RE in three years, I really like the location and layout.  Have their greens issues finally been corrected?

Due to CV, I did not play RE this year.  The new Sunday greens installed a few
years ago have good turf.   It just seems like fast greens are not what RE wants
to provide.

If you always play a course in it's overseed season, that is another reason why
it might have slow greens, when you are there, but not always.
