Haven't golfed since KINGS NORTH on Saturday.

Somewhere around the Gambler hole I felt a little discomfort and took an Aleve..Felt ok after that.. even after the round it was tender but remember long walk back to my car after the round, and ride home just slight pain.

But was hard to sleep that night and hard to get out of bed in a.m.

After googling the symptoms , it is sciatica. Usually when I hurt my back it a pulled muscle.

So I bring a stim machine with me on vacations.

The weird thing though,  is my back doesn't hurt. Pain and numbness runs down the right leg to the foot. And I have little leg strength. Which shows when going up or down stairs.

Luckily my 2nd favorite thing to do in MB is beaching it and I'm able to do that.

Here are some balcony shots  including a small rainstorm over the Atlantic.

Any suggestions on sciatica relief, let me know.

I'm sorry to hear that.  I don't have experience with it, so I can't add
anything you don't see on Google.

To try improving enough to get in another MB round, you could try
a Chiropractor in MB.

Any recommendations by the locals would be appreciated

Sorry to hear about your injury. I know firsthand how much it sucks to have to deal with physical issues when trying to play, especially on vacation. Hope you find a treatment that works.

We use a Chiropractor when down in MB, he is located in NMB, Dr. Scott Scafidi, he is located behind a Wells Fargo Bank, 843-272-1992  but he is hands on and as most Chiro's quirky.

My sciatica turned into a rupture disk. Surgery repaired it but I still have a numb big toe on my right foot from the surgery 4 years ago.

better get an X-ray or mri when you get a chance.

Thanks Gary.

That Dr office is less than 1/2 mile from our rental.

We are 1200 south

Nice

He will at least be able to tell me how serious it is or isn't.

Thanks again

Besides of moral support, and since you already got a couple of good suggestions, I just want to wish that you'll find the right specialist to help you recover as soon as possible from your injury!

It's not easy to become "more experienced". I did cope for most of the summer with tendonitis in one knee and it didn't help my golf game at all! 😉

Take care @JW11!

The worst part is that it interfered with our golf - wouldn't have happened had you joined my game instead of playing at Kings North!

Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars

Sorry JW. I have had bouts with sciatica a couple of times. Thankfully, it was caused by muscle contracting around sciatic nerve and there was no structural damage such as a slipped disk. Treatment was pain pills, muscle relaxer and back exercises which was very effective course of treatment. If I ever feel any tightness in my lower back, I stop what I am doing and immediately do the back exercises. Hopefully, yours is muscular and there is no structural damage. Google back exercises for sciatica. However, my Dr. said to not do the back exercises if it was painful to do them.
