Mulligan22:  If looking in the Little River area check out the River Hills and Heather Lakes communities. Both are nice subdivisions (not cookie cutter homes) and still very affordable. Also, don't confuse Heather Lakes (which is next to the defunct Heather Glen golf course) and the communities they are building on Heather Glen.

  Just from our two week stay in March we would definitely want to live in North Myrtle or Calabash NC. We'll likely end up in Florida though. I could definitely live in Brunswick Plantation but haven't checked into HOA. Are there many 55 and over communities in MB? We didn't really see any in our travels but did see a del Webb which is usually 55 and over.

Good luck finding something to buy if the real estate market is anything like here in NE GA or the gulf coast.
