Hi Chums, 8 of us Brits are coming back to North Myrtle Beach from 14th-30th March this year after being unable to make it through 2020 and 2021 due to COVID. Clearly this means that we’ll be in town for Paddy’s night. So, where would you guys suggest we head for for a good night of boozing (btw, we all have particularly stout pairs of drinking trousers that we intend to “don” for the night ! 😉

We’re staying on South Ocean Boulevard, but don’t mind where we end up, as long as it’s a riot !

You can't be very far from Molly Darcy's bar.  It is at 17th & S. Ocean Drive.  Great place.

You will miss the annual St Patty's Day parade and festivities in NMB which take place the weekend before.

Flynn's Irish Tavern should be lively.  It's not a big place and could get crowded, but that's what the day is about anyway.  They do have an outside area as well.  Could be a good choice to throw down a few pints.

Tadpole is correct...given where you are staying and the way you describe yourselves Molly Darcy's is where you will want to be.  Also Flynn's Irish Tavern on Main Street is another good spot close by.  They have amazing Irish food at a very good price. Dinner and drinks there followed by Molly's later in the evening could make for a very memorable (or forgetful depending on your alcohol intake) evening.  I might even stop in and join you Brits for a pint or two and a hello if a Southern Yank from South Carolina wouldn't cramp your style. lol

Wolfpackguy, and anyone else for that matter : we’re a very sociable and somewhat eclectic bunch of blokes, you should have little problem spotting us (!) : our ages range from 30’s to just over 60, I’m short, overweight and 58, Ladders and Swampy are 6’8”, RT and Hilly look reasonable normal, Mally has a big nose and a moustache, and P always wears a hat and will probably be in a vivid lime green suit on Paddy’s night ! We always welcome getting to know the locals, and anyone else for that matter, so please feel free to introduce yourselves and join us for some serious beerage, a game of darts or pool !

Molly Darcys is the place Yorkie . A lot of room in there and a nice outdoor patio (on the beach).
