Cherry Grove Area Restaurants

Hi,
A group of 8 of us are coming down to play golf Sept 9-14. We're staying in the Cherry Grove area, which I'm not familiar with. Looking for some restaurant recommendations. In the past we've eaten at some of the Calabash/Little River spots like Chianti South, Clark's, Boundary House, Grapevine's. Looking for some options a little closer to where we're staying, especially the day we get there, since most of us have long drives to get there (NJ, FL).

Thanks for any "local knowledge".

My wife is heading down to Legends for a golf outing with the girls. She asked me for restaurant recommendations. We are hardly ever out on 501 and especially not for eating. Any recommendations in that area? She also asked about restaurants that take reservations.

Crave has moved into the old Bonefish Grill building beside the Cane Patch Driving Range, the old one close to 62nd Ave. N has closed its doors. New building is much larger and lots of parking..

This is a small pizza and pasta place on 17 about a mile south of Glen Dornoch. Very good food with reasonable prices. We split cheese sticks and a white pizza and had five beers between the two of us. Our bill was $38. The pasta dishes others there ordered were large and looked good. Hoping to get back before our stay is done.

Saw them beat Michigan on Sunday. It is a fun, inexpensive way to spend a day if you are not golfing. That’s a fun team to watch since they score a lot of runs. We got seats a few rows up even with third base, and they cost $19 apiece with fees. I believe the stadium holds 4,000 with SRO.

My rooting interest in CCU was boosted by three Pennsylvanians on the roster, including one who graduated from my high school alma mater.

Ate at their North Myrtle Beach location tonight. Great happy hours. Some of the drafts were $2 for a pint. I had a prime rib sandwich and Liz had a chicken salad melt. The food was very good and reasonably priced.
