thanks ugp.

what tees did you play? the one time i played ww (about three months ago) i thought it was a good course to play from any/different tees because it seems there are a lot of landing zone options. had the same conditions that you mentioned-excellent but greens were kinda slow.

one Wild Wing rant however: what the hell are those "turf silos" in the bunker left of the 18th green? Possibly the dumbest thing I've ever seen on a golf course.

A Larry Nelson design if I recall correctly.

Thanks ugp.

This course seems to one that is sort of ' forgotten'..

I have played WW many times and always found it to be in good shape.  It can play quite long and you need to be careful about what set of tees you use.

Usually the whites, but the seniors this day. Makes a difference on the par 3's and the ability to reach #11 in two and possibly drive #14. It's 2 strokes easier than the whites for me.

There are several turf silos on the course - would hate to be the one mowing them!

WW is always a golf choice. I like to play there.

The Hummingbird 9 has been open, since the changes at WW.

If maybe you are talking about it being closed during CV, as FGI
did with some of their courses, during limited play from CV, then
I don't know.

The Humm 9 is the first 2 holes from Woodstork, then the rest are
Humm holes, with the old Humm 17 + 18 shortened into par 3's.

@Bill From PA I found this.

Tee time availability on the Hummingbird course will be based upon cart availability,
Please call the golf shop at 843-347-9464 to make a tee time.

Wild Wing is great. Always has been in good condition when I played there,  has a real good layout and variety of holes including a driveable par 4 and it is modestly priced.
