Sorry for the delay on this report from 3/12 but it was a long drive home to Northeast Ohio and I needed a day to recover.  My last round of the March championship was at True Blue and it never disappoints.  The day turned out to be sunny and a high of 62 but actually ended up a little warmer so perfect. The course was in great shape with my only nitpick was the greens were actually slower than either Brunswick and Whispering Pines.  Still smooth though so can’t blame them for my 5 three jacks. Started my round with a quadruple 8 on the first hole so you can see where my round went. Yesterday i started with a quadruple 9 on the first hole. I think courses should have a practice hole you can play before your round as a driving range doesn’t seem to help me ?.  Ended up with a 88 and finished in 26 th place out of 34 in my flight.  Unfortunately, pace of play was not good as it took 5 1/2 hours to play.  There was a cold cut lunch buffet after and a drawing for dozens of golf balls and free entries to next years March Championships which I didn’t win.  If you have been keeping track of my course reports you can see that I am an easy grader as all of the courses that I played were rated as good.  As long as there is good coverage of grass on the fairways and the greens are smooth I am happy. All in all it was a great  week of golf despite my scores and can’t wait for my next trip down in April with a group of 7 guys for another week.

I also played in March Classic at True Blue and agree with Ploots.  Course was in terrific shape considering all of the wet weather over the last few months.  A few greens were a little spotty (esp number 2 where the hole was all the way in the back of that green and really made that a much harder hole).  Just an amazing and challenging course.  They seem to be starting a cart path reno as well as several places where tree roots etc have caused "bumps", they are removing/crushing the pavement and I assume will be repaving.  Without letting out any secret, this is a must play!

Thanks for the reports. Ploots look at it this way, only up from there and only a month away from your next rip. I'm sure your scores will improve once you are home and playing a few additional times.

Ploots - see you soon. Tough start to your rounds - we've all done that

Our group loves True Blue - we have played it the last 2 years in a row.

You can't beat the replay rate if you have played the morning at Caledonia.  My memory could not be serving me well, but I thinkg we paid about $59 to replay TB after our AM round at Cal last year.
