Played here today under sunny skies, warm temps at 68* and a 20+ MPH breeze. Played the East 9 first, no issue anywhere, very good over seed on tees and fairways. Greens running smoothly at a nice pace. Sand traps have all been redone and groomed perfectly, very easy to hit out of, sand is still a bit loose but will compact over time to avoid plugged balls near the tops of the bunkers, we had 1 today.
Played the North 9 next, again similar conditions as the east 9, traps have yet to be redone. Roughs are beginning to green up in the mostly sunny areas making shot easier to hit, some areas in the rough are thin as well but nothing all that bad. If this course is on your list to play your day will be a good one, our POP was 4 hours even.
Way to go @leftygar1, thank you for sharing!
How many weeks left before having to get back home?

We can stay until April 30th, but we will head home in 4 weeks to save our total days for possible cross border meetings with friends.
We played the same combo this afternoon. Really good overseed on the fairways and like Gary said, course is in good shape. The wind was brutal this afternoon and the group ahead of us was really struggling. POP was4 1/2 hrs. Course was packed.

Were the sand traps changed in size or added/removed, like at Grande Dunes,
River Hills, Pine Lakes, or just filled with new sand?
Thanks for your report!

Art, the traps looked to be the same size, they were cleaned up very nicely and the edges trimmed to give them a better look, new sand is golden in colour. I should add that the waste bunker traps still have the old greyish sand in them. North 9 is not yet done, but traps are edged as well, West 9 maybe done, only saw the 1st hole, they could have removed a trap or two on it?? again unsure.
Course was packed in the morning as well, but we moved good, wind picked up around hole 8 on the front, can imagine how that effected your group, last 4 holes on the north 9 were tough for us, crazy tough for you I bet.
It was pretty tough, especially the last hole on the North. The wind was really blowing and we had a long wait to tee off because a fellow in front of us was waiting for the green to clear before he hit and it took forever. He then proceeded to hit it about 50 yards.
Great to hear my girlfriend Pearl is back in great shape again. She has a special place in my heart.
That part of the earth is Golf Heaven in my book.
So many great layouts
Too bad the owners of some of the properties let the conditions go bad ( Cats, Oyster Bay) or abandoned them ( The 2 Harbour courses, Farmstead...And across the state line ,Heather Glen).
