You've hit the nail on head with your feelings on PP, tough Nicklaus greens.  Have played the course 2x and each time was enjoyable, even had some change left for lunch as it is very affordable.

Honestly-- I'd prefer Pawleys over True Blue-- but not before Caledonia. Pawleys the past 5 years or so has generally been very good when I've been there-- and it is awe striking scenery. The course has a couple 'gimmicky' holes for sure-- but for pure pleasure, again, I'd put it over True Blue. Caledonia is on another level entirely (with Dunes Club). Not sure those two have peers in the public play courses available through packages.

Try playing Prestwick, PP and TPC back to back.  Now that would be a gauntlet!  I really like all 3, but think playing them back to back would be extremely tough if your game is off just a little bit.

OKI - Throw in an extra afternoon 18 at Caledonia just for kicks!

Golf is just an excuse to drink whiskey and smoke cigars
