I’m part of a group of 8 coming down mid July for a long weekend and several of us wanted to put OB on the list. Does anyone have an update on the condition of the course.

Conditions are very good. The new superintendent has made great strides. Fairways are good. A number of tee boxes are being reworked and leveled. Greens are good

Will concur that conditions are good played today. only a few greens had minor issues and pins were away from those areas. Only drawback is that the cart paths are horrendous

@ziggygolfer

If they do ever repair the cart paths, I have to say, I will miss the adventure.

Thank you for the update. I will let the group know. OB has always been one of my favorite courses in the Myrtle Beach area.

OB has lots of fun/signature holes.

OB probably needs to install new cart paths to show they are serious about
improvements.

Prior to COVD they were in the process of deciding to tear up the cart paths and go with natural cart paths or spend the $400K to repave them. They have since had to readjust their thought process's ...

The problem with dirt/natural cart paths is dust when dry, mud when wet.

OB could do like Grande Dunes, new cart paths around tees + greens.
Then stay in the rough when fairways are too wet.
