Off the paths, course was in relatively good condition. Greens rolled good, decent stand of over seed. This is a good solid course, though too wide open for my taste. Has some very good holes. Make sure you have some food as 9 doesn't come back to the clubhouse. Last year Palmetto had a terrible over seed - this year they putt good. A solid 3.5 tier in my book. Since they have 2 courses (Pine hills) it's a good place for replay.

Thanks for the report UGP. Which course do you prefer to play? I haven't played PH in quite a while.

Nice update. Thanks.

In my book, holes 17 and 18 are two of the most beautiful holes of golf in the Myrtle Beach area.

Have you played the new in 2018 hybrid greens on Pine Hill?
They are also supposed to be enlarged.
Maybe Palmetto will get new greens in 2019?

Thanks for the report!

I play ph so rarely  like palmetto better both courses are fine. Perhaps if I play ph a little more I will appreciate the layout and its design more

Gregg, this one is my favorite over Pine Hills, it gives you all you need for a golf course.  Location is also good.

First time I played Palmetto -10  years ago- I really liked iT and it was in good shape.

Played it again October 2017 , and it took 5.5 hours to playour and it was in real bad shape.

Just like most courses ,the conditioning changes seasonally.

I'll have to try it again for the tie-breaker.

Never played PH ,but now may try out their new greens.
