As soon as I turned 65 I moved up to the gold tees in Myrtle Beach during our winters there . I still play a mix of white and forward tees at our home course in NY which has some tough par fours for an old guy.

You're just a baby John. I am already 74 and like 5600-5800 yards. I'll be back in Myrtle Oct 27-Nov 3 with Yank and 2 others. Will you be around then?

A baby.. lol.

God willin'  I'll be in MB the 1st 2 weeks of October.

I enjoyed the round last year with you and Yank and UGP

Hopefully in 2022 we can do it again.

Maybe I'll be playing golf again by then - will be fun

My people in MB tell me they think you have been parking the truck and golfing every once in a while.

Hey John, why are you on injured reserve?

I was last year.. halfway through my 2 week vacation ...sciatica.

but I did therapy for 2 months, stayed home from work and drank beer and began to feel good again.

Beer. Therapy. No work.

The miracle cure.

I'll be back October 1st. 2021

10 weeks away..

Sorry I'll miss you this time Donald.

I also think UGP's post fooled DJGoodman.

You need different people - last round was with A08 about a month ago. However, I am scheduled to play this weekend.

Smooth trip in from Florida yesterday.

Golf day 1 Barefoot Norman

Good driving range

Good service staff

Fairways good, not great, but good for this time of year.

Fairways good

Greens ok about 8 on the meter.

Cartpaths are bumpy as the course has aged and the roots are causing the paths to raise and sink.

6 of 8 had not played here and they liked the course a lot.

Weather hot and muggy.

Dinner at Joes tonight.

Tomorrow is Tidewater.

That is good to hear. One of my many favorite courses to play when down there. Will be golfing for 2 weeks in October this year ...last year was the first year in over 20 years that we missed due to the pandemic. Glen Dornach is first round on the list this trip.

Has anyone got some recent reports on Tigers Eye conditions and Leopards Chase conditions and the back stories on what has been going on with them financially and management wise.

I would love to see them brought back to their former glory

@beavthegolfer I was down there for a couple of weeks around the 4th. Played twice at the Thistle with a guy who lives at Ocean Ridge but was a member at the Thistle -- he said he doesn't know anyone who lives at Ocean Ridge who plays any of the four if they can help it.

He said Leopard's Chase is the "best" and the one they'll play if they can't find anywhere else, but none of them are good.

@uncgolf

That's been the story for at least 4 years now .

3 years ago in October Panthers Run was in real good shape (except for some weird weeds in a few fairways), while the other 3 were not.

2 years age Leopards was halfway decent when me ,UGP and Art played it...while the others 3 were in bad shape. Lions Paw was brown fairways

Thanks for the info
