CN has a lot of fun holes.  That par 3 in the marsh has a very shallow green
from the blue to back tees.  From the white tees, its a shorter/easier angle, but
then the green is deep + narrow.  CN has non traditional tee colors.

Winter rates on a non overseed course would be OK once a winter for
locals/snowbirds, but it would be a disaster if we brought a vacation group there.

You have a photo of a group of pines between the 150 and the green on a par 5,
I think #9 of Heron.  It's reachable, but the pines are in the way.

Thanks!

Always enjoyed Carolina National, the no over seed is tough, but a few courses did not did it this year.  Good pics as well, thanks for posting.

Wondering if they still use Fred Couples' name on this course.

Wasn't he the  co-architect ?

Great hole - I was able to reach in two with a 3 hybrid with a small draw around those well placed trees. Need to hit your drive far right. My opponent was 15 yards in front of me without a good shot at the green.
